Whether it is a from a picture you saw online or something you dreamed up our team of craftsmen can transform the exterior of your home and truly make it one of a kind.
Renovating or designing a new kitchen has become one of the most enjoyable parts of a home project, but sometimes the options can feel overwhelming. Our team of designers are here to help with the newest styles & designs. They can create a 3D drawing and maximize your space so that it is both beautiful and practical.
Your bathroom is one of the few places you can escape and truly relax. Not only is it your personal sanctuary but it is also one of the investments that can add significant value to your home.
At Captivating Construction we know that the hardest part about building your dream home is finding the right team for the job; which is why we are here to make sure the process is as easy and seamless as possible. Since the company first broke ground over 30 years ago we have been driven by one motto; deliver the finest quality homes and with the highest level of customer service. For most of us building a home is the single biggest investment we will ever make; and that is why we treat every project as if it were our own home. Responsibility, quality, and customer service are what we’ve built and pin our reputation on. By working diligently with each customer on every detail of their project we are able to make sure that it is completed on time and on budget.
Building is not an exact science, it is a fluid process in which our experience and attention to detail allow us to stand above the rest. Finishing a project on time and on budget are incredibly important to you; and we pride ourselves on our ability to do just that. You can’t put a price on peace of mind and when you work with us, you won’t have to.
We know time is important so we do our best to outline the tasks and timing so that you know what to expect from the start. The budget and a reasonable time frame are stated in each contract which is signed by all parties with copies provided before the start of every project. Since construction during inclement weather can be very dangerous there is an ‘Act of God Clause’ in each contract stating that these types of delays are beyond our control. With that being said, our references are available upon request and will confirm that we work our hardest to deliver the highest quality product within our stated timeframe.
Again, these terms are broken down in the contract based on progress with a completion date included. Typically we request a 10% deposit for materials, and the rest of the payment schedule is determined beforehand. Once the work is completed to a predetermined point, partial payment is made, with final payment due upon completion.
Depending on your location and what is being done, a permit may or may not be required. If a permit is required for your project we will obtain the permit, handle all inspections, make sure everything is built to code, and that the project and process satisfies all requirements to the letter of the law.
All materials will be stated and covered in the original contract. Material substitutions are sometimes unavoidable for a number of reason; options for an equal substation will be provided but only upon your approval. For smaller ticket items such as lighting fixtures & doorknobs, an allowance is created in the contract to provide a predetermined range to abide by.
A change order is a written statement signed by the customer authorizing the contractor to do additional work not included in the original contract. The change order should be signed before the additional work is started, but often it is not in order to keep the project moving. The amount specified in the change order is due upon the project’s completion. A change order may also need to be created when a contractor comes encounters unforseen issues beyond the scope of work state in a contract. Ex. Oil tank is discovered and requires remediates, asbestos is found in a wall and needs to be removed, ect.
